Law school teaches you to open your mind and think differently. This type of training is valuable in any career. Today, law is the pathway to financial rewards, intellectual stimulation, prestige, family influence, social change and career flexibility and above all acquiring a knowledgeable position in the existing society. To the hilt, it is a new and young University whose vibrancy and youthful outlook is reflected in its course curriculum, its attitude towards students and the overall ambiance. In its short stint of operations, it has made a mark with innovative training methods and a strong emphasis on practical exposure to the students. Ample opportunity towards co-curricular & extra-curricular activities makes for a healthy and stress-free environment.
To produce competent Advocates, Law Schools are expected to impart quality education so that their foundation should be strong. It is well-known facts that many people get LL.B. degree but hardly few of them are in a position to be successful as practicing Advocates. Keeping in view this aspect Bar Council of India has introduced LL.B. 5 years integrated course in a combination of Social Sciences and Arts after Higher Secondary and which is showing better results. The Bar Council of India has framed a comprehensive syllabus for BA.LLB 5 Year Program in which all related disciplines in Social Sciences and Arts namely, History, Economic, Political Science having relevance in the legal profession have been included.
Today, law is a field of study that offers the recipient a wide range of career options, each requiring different skills but also possessing common characteristics. The options are endless in terms of practice areas and work environments. Lawyers might find themselves arresting a ship or zoning a playground, working independently in their home or with others in high rise corporate offices. Lawyers can practice law by helping clients plan to avoid problems, by solving problems once they develop, by representing and counseling businesses in a particular industry,by representing individuals sharing a common status or problems and by appearing (or not appearing) in court. They would also be taught Non-Law Subjects which have much relevance in Legal education viz. Economics, Political Science, History, English and Foreign Languages like French and German which would be given much significance during the Pre-Law studies of the Law students. Conclusively it can be safely claimed that all efforts would be made by the competent faculty of the Law on the basis of comprehensive current syllabi framed for the purpose to impart quality education to the students of the Law School of the Jagan Nath University Haryana.
