In today’s dynamic and global work settings, need for highly refined managerial skills are increasingly being felt. Corporations spend huge amounts every year on trainings of managers to sensitize them to decision making in the changing times across the globe. With the Indian economy becoming the most preferred destination for foreign investors, work environment has changed and become more challenging for managers to work in and make decisions.
To familiarize students with the global businesses and decision making in a diverse work environment, various management games were organized for students by the Faculty of Management and Commerce on 15 Feb 2017.
It was conducted by Dr. Ritu Sharma, Associate Professor and Ms. Poonam Sharma, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management and Commerce. The chief guest on the occasion was Prof.(Dr.) I.S. Gulati, Dean Academics and the stage was also graced by Mr. Harminder Singh, Assistant Professor and Mr. Rajesh Mehra, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management and Commerce.
The management games were activity based involving quizzes, extempore, case studies and financial auctions. It was interactive and media based. Students from the Faculty of Management and Commerce attended the workshop. They enjoyed working in groups and participated in various activities with enthusiasm. Students learned about time management, decision making and financial statements and were benefitted extensively by the workshop.
The stage and anchoring were managed by Ms. Apoorva Mohini ( BBA 2 Sem ) and the scoring was managed by Ms. Uma, Ms. Arushi and Mr. Akshay ( BBA 2 Sem).
Winners of the games were Ms. Isha Jain (BBA 6 Sem), Mr. Harish Chand ( BBA 6 Sem), Mr. Aakash Panchal ( BBA 6 Sem), and Mr. Arpreet Gulati (BBA 4 Sem) from BBA.
