Department of Management and Commerce organized a National Seminar on Demonetization of Indian Currency- Retrospect and Prospect on 18 th March, 2017. A large number of Intellectual and Researchers participated in the Seminar from other Educational Institution and presented their views. Chief Guest of the seminar Professor Dr. R.K Mittal in his address focused on Demonetization and allied economic theory and its impact on unorganized sector as well people living below poverty line.
Among the keynote speaker Professor H.L. Verma emphasized that if it would have been carried out with sound planning and cooperated by the banker’s impact of success would have been more and government would have more successful in curbing black money in more effective way.
During technical session a large number of research papers were presented on diverse themes from cyber security in cash less transaction, the impact of demonetization on small traders, shifting trends in marketing after demonetization, Demonetization and cash fungibility, Role of virtual cash after demonetization in India. International experiences of demonetization to Overhauling and Restructuring Indian economy through demonetization.
Overall it was quite impactful event. The views expressed by the presenters will indeed went a long way in improving the clarity of the audience.
