B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering

Overview

The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Computer Science & Engineering has a strong focus on design and hands-on experience. The program includes a deeper study of a number of engineering subjects to which students are introduced at the core curriculum level, theoretical and programming solutions of real world problems and design of systems relevant to the software organizations. The areas introduced by the department include software engineering, software testing, web crawlers, information retrieval, computer networks and data structures etc. Besides the theoretical and laboratory based curriculum, students complete an advanced programming project in the final year of the program including one full semester in an industry. This degree provides a solid foundation in core Computer Engineering disciplines, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through the academic program, students also develop excellent written and oral communication skills; learn to work as a team and project management.

Course Objective

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology /Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together
