Psychology is a fast growing and exciting science and a great field to be involved in. Overall employment of psychologists is projected to grow 6 per cent from 2022 to 2032, faster than the average for all occupations. In fact, several fields of psychology are growing at an unprecedented rate and jobs are plentiful. Psychology helps to shape our understanding of how people perceive, think, feel and interact with other humans. The program equips the students with the necessary training to work in schools, hospitals, prisons, human resources, with people with developmental disabilities, and in various social policy areas in the private and public sectors. The students learn skills to apply psychological principles in real-world situations. They gain valuable hands-on training through internships and have the opportunity to conduct significant research as part of their dissertation work.

Course Objectives

The three-year Under Graduate Psychology (H) Programme at the juncr is an intensive, rigorous and methodical study designed to:

  • Help students develop soft skills to deal efficiently with people while working as counsellors and trainers.
  • Making students aware about the applications of psychology in day-to-day life.
  • Imbibing reflective thinking in students so they can know about their behaviours while working with people.
  • Developing a holistic knowledge base in research, clinical, counselling and organizational psychology so our students have ample opportunities to look forward to.
