How to Apply to this Course

Eligibility:

  • A student is eligible for admission to the M.Sc. in Chemistry program if they meet the eligibility criteria set by the University and follow the prescribed admission process.
  • Candidates from other Universities or Boards must have passed an examination equivalent to the one prescribed by the University for the M.Sc. in Chemistry, as specified in the University Ordinances. For credit transfer, please refer to the Ordinance (Transfer of Credits) available on the University website.

Admission Process:

  • Application Submission: The application form for admission to the M.Sc. in Chemistry program can be obtained from the admission office or downloaded from the University website. The application fee is Rs. 500.
  • Entrance Examination: Admission will be based on merit, determined through an entrance test such as the
    All-India Common Entrance Test (CUET PG) or the Jagan Nath University Entrance Exam (JUEE). The exam will assess the candidate’s knowledge, comprehension, and aptitude for pursuing higher studies.
  • Selection Process: The selection process may include a written exam, group discussions, and/or personal interviews. For courses with limited intake, admission may be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (e.g., B.Sc. in Chemistry).
  • Admission Committee: The Admission Committee, comprising the Dean/HOD as Chairman and two members nominated by the Vice Chancellor, will oversee the admission process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed a M.Sc. in Chemistry (or an equivalent degree) from a recognized University or Board.

Reservation Policy:

  • The University follows the reservation policy as prescribed by the State Government for private universities. Reserved seats are available for candidates from Haryana and Scheduled Castes, as applicable.

Fee Payment:

  • Students must deposit the prescribed fees by the specified deadline.
  • Scholarships: Merit-cum-means scholarships and Haryana Domicile scholarships are available. Students wishing to avail of these scholarships must apply using the prescribed form available on the University website.
  • Concession for Girl Students: A 10% tuition fee concession is available for girl students in addition to merit scholarships.

Admission Steps:

  • Fill out the application form for admission and pay the Rs. 500 application fees.
  • Appear for the JUEE (or other applicable entrance exams) and participate in any required Group Discussion or Personal Interview.
  • Visit the campus if necessary.
  • Receive the admission letter.
  • Deposit the fee and receive the enrolment letter.
  • Semester Commencement: The semester will start from August-2025.
