The Faculty of Allied Health and Medical Sciences offers Courses like BPT, MPT,BPharmacy,DPharmacy,BSc,MSc(Life sciences) and Ph. D Programs.

The Faculty of Allied Health and Medical Sciences has been evolved by exercising a three-pronged approach of spreading its wings in the domains of Physiotherapy,Pharmacy and Life sciences and above all research. Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that works with people to identify and maximize their ability to move and function. And functional movement is a key part of what it means to be healthy. This means that physiotherapy plays a key role in enabling people to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.The goal of the Pharmacy program is to render professional skill, knowledge, abilities to serve in pharmaceutical industries and to provide appropriate medication service to the patient.Life Sciences degree courses comprises the study of all fields of science that involve the scientific study of living organisms, like plants, animals, and human beings, hence it includes all the elements of all the Sciences which makes it a multidisciplinary study.


Course Highlights

Life Sciences Programs (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) are offered by the Faculty of Life Sciences of the Jagan Nath University. In addition to the Core Faculty members from the Department, the Professionals from Industry will join in delivery of the Programs. A wide spectrum of organizations including healthcare, cosmetic and food-processing companies, NGOs, environment consultancy firms, and drug manufacturing companies hire specialists in life sciences.The life sciences are rapidly-advancing and thoroughly exciting fields of study that include Anatomy, Animal Biology, Bacteriology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Ecology and many more. The life sciences are vital to further increase our understanding of human health and environmental issues.


M.Sc. (Life Sciences)

Eligibility:
Student should have passed B.Sc. (three years) Degree after 10+2 with Major/Honours in Life Sciences and any other related life science discipline/Biosciences/Botany/Zoology. B.Sc. General/Pass degree with Life Sciences/Biosciences with Botany and Zoology (equal weightage) as two of the three main Subjects At least 50 percent marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade for General candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
