KAPILA Scheme
The KAPILA Scheme stands for “Kalam Program for Intellectual Property Literacy and Awareness”. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), implemented through the MoE's Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE. It was launched on 15 October 2020, the birth anniversary of former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
The Jagannath University, Delhi NCR, Bahadurgarh, actively promotes innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property creation through its research and innovation ecosystem. Faculty members, researchers, and students are encouraged to identify patentable inventions, participate in IPR awareness programmes, and file patents under the KAPILA Scheme, subject to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education. The University provides institutional support for patent drafting, filing, and technology commercialization, thereby fostering a culture of innovation and research excellence, and strengthening intellectual property generation.
