Seminar on the theme “Mental Health in the 21st Century: Challenges, Innovations & Inclusive Approaches.”
On October 7, 2025, the Mental Health and Yoga Club, in collaboration with the Department of Education, Department of Allied & Health Care Sciences, Women Cell, IQAC, and IIC under the aegis of DSW, organized a seminar on the theme “Mental Health in the 21st Century: Challenges, Innovations & Inclusive Approaches.” Keynote speaker of this seminar was Prof. Indu Sharma. Ms. Geeta from Brahmakumari Centre, Dwarka, served as the motivational and spiritual speaker for the seminar.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about mental health challenges in modern life and to provide students with practical strategies to enhance emotional balance, self-awareness, and overall well-being. The session included discussions on mindfulness, meditation, and breathing exercises, which were demonstrated to help participants reduce stress and improve focus.
Brainstorming Session on “Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset in Student”- A Workshop
On 12 February 2026, IIC in collaboration with IQAC, Department of Education & Department of Management, Jagannath University successfully organized a brainstorming session on “Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset in Students” with the objectives of nurturing innovation, creativity, and leadership qualities among participants. The session aimed to encourage students to think beyond conventional career paths and explore entrepreneurship as a viable and impactful option. Through interactive discussions and idea-sharing activities, students were motivated to identify real-world problems and propose practical solutions. The program also emphasized the importance of risk-taking ability, resilience, teamwork, and decision-making skills essential for entrepreneurial success. The session proved to be highly engaging and inspiring, fostering confidence and a proactive attitude among students toward innovation and self-employment opportunities.
The session was divided into two interactive parts on Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset in Students by Prof. Poonam Singh and Prof. Anil respectively. Details of the sessions are as follows:
Session I: Fostering Innovation and Creative Thinking- (By Prof. Poonam Singh)
The first session focused on nurturing creativity and innovative thinking among students. Participants were encouraged to think beyond traditional career choices and explore entrepreneurship as a meaningful and impactful path. Through interactive brainstorming activities, students identified real-world problems and discussed practical, innovative solutions. The session created an open platform for idea generation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
Session II: Building Entrepreneurial Skills and Resilience -(By Prof. Anil)
The second session emphasized the development of essential entrepreneurial qualities such as risk-taking ability, resilience, leadership, teamwork, and effective decision-making. Students actively engaged in discussions on overcoming challenges, learning from failures, and recognizing business opportunities. The session concluded with a motivational note on developing confidence and a proactive mindset toward innovation and self-employment.
The session received positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the interactive format and practical applications. The event successfully achieved its objective of fostering a Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset in Student.
Pre-Summit Events in HEIs: for Al Impact Summit 2026- An Expert Lecture
In alignment with the Government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat, and in response to the Ministry of Education’s call for nationwide engagement under the India AI Mission (launched on March 7, 2024), Jagannath University successfully organized a significant Pre-Summit Event on 10 February 2026. The event was conducted as a precursor to the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for February 19–20, 2026, in New Delhi.
In this context, the Department of Education & Department of Engineering in collaboration with Placement Cell, Jagannath University successfully conducted an awareness session on the title “Power of AI Masterclass – Advanced AI Career Program.”
The session was delivered by Mr. Aman Gupta, Co-founder & CEO and Ms. Divya Agarwal, Member Saras AI Institute, who provided valuable insights into emerging AI technologies and career opportunities in the AI domain.
The programme aimed to promote inclusive and responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) development and to strengthen collaboration among academia, industry, and government. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, AI researchers, and industry experts. We extend our sincere thanks to the Saras AI Team, for their support and contribution for making the session highly informative and engaging for students.We also express our special thanks to the Management for their continuous encouragement and support in organizing such career-oriented initiatives for students.
