Engineers’ Day- 2025 Celebration
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering celebrated Engineering Day on September 15, 2025, to honor the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the eminent engineer and statesman. The event was organized to inspire students to embrace the spirit of innovation, problem-solving, and technological advancement.
The program commenced with a formal welcome address by the faculty, followed by an inaugural speech highlighting the contributions of engineers in nation-building. A series of engaging activities was conducted throughout the day, including PowerPoint presentations, motivational speeches, skit performances, an internal hackathon, and the Coding Mania quiz competition. Students showcased their creativity, technical knowledge, and teamwork skills.
The highlight of the day was the prize distribution ceremony, where winners of the hackathon and quiz competition were awarded certificates and mementos for their outstanding performance. The celebration not only provided a platform for academic and co-curricular excellence but also encouraged active participation, teamwork, and leadership among students.
Expert Lecture 26 November 2025
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jagan Nath University, Bahadurgarh organized an expert lecture on 26 November 2024 on the topic “Exploring the Power of Python: Career Paths and Industry Trends”. The session was delivered by Mr. Sandeep Sharma, a Data Science Consultant with wide experience in analytics, automation and machine-learning projects across several industries.
The lecture aimed to provide students with a clear understanding of why Python has become one of the most important programming languages today and how it continues to shape modern technological fields. Mr. Sharma explained both the technical strengths of Python and the practical opportunities it creates for students who want to build careers in software development, data science, artificial intelligence and related domains.
The session helped students connect classroom learning with real industry expectations. The speaker used simple examples, real project stories and practical advice, which made the session engaging and easy to follow. Faculty members from the department also attended the session and appreciated the relevance of the topic for students preparing for internships, placements and research work.
Seminar Quantum Computing
The Department of Engineering and Technology, Jagannath University, Bahadurgarh, Haryana, in collaboration with the IT Department of JCC, attended the Sonic 2K26 Seminar held at Shah Auditorium, Civil Lines, New Delhi, on 11 April 2026. The seminar was attended by B. Tech and BCA students, with a total participation of 30 students.
The event provided a platform for students to gain exposure to current trends and developments in Computer Science, with a special focus on emerging technologies like Quantum Computing. It also gave students an opportunity to learn from experts and understand the practical relevance of these advanced concepts.
