The International Conference on Global Challenges and Multidisciplinary Innovation for Sustainable Development, organized by Jagannath University, Bahadurgarh, was successfully held on 1st Oct. 2025. The conference was sponsored by Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER). The event served as a premier platform for academics, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to deliberate upon pressing global issues and explore innovative, multidisciplinary solutions to achieve sustainable development.
Objectives of the Conference
To provide a forum for sharing cutting-edge research and practices in sustainability.
To encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration.
To foster global partnerships in addressing environmental, social, and technological challenges.
To promote actionable strategies for sustainable growth and development.
Inaugural Session
The conference commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Honorable Vice Chancellor, registrar, dean academics, all HODs, faculty members and all the participants. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Varun Arora, Dean Academics, followed by the Presidential address by Honorable Vice Chancellor highlighting the theme of sustainable development through innovation and collaboration. The souvenir of the conference was also released during this session.
Technical Sessions
The conference featured multiple technical sessions across diverse themes:
Sustainable Technologies and Digital Transformation
Social Media, Education, and Policy for Sustainability
Multidisciplinary Approaches for Sustainable Development
Each session included oral paper presentations, invited lectures, and discussions.
First technical session was to inaugurate the technical session is Dr. Kamal Dua, an award-winning researcher in pharmaceutics and drug delivery, with an illustrious career spanning three nations and two continents. Dr. Dua holds dual doctoral degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Immunology & Microbiology, and currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Health, University of Technology Sydney, Australia, where he also leads the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) programs. His insights into emergence of social media in academic & research have truly broadened horizons.
Second eminent speaker is Prof. (Dr.) Harish Dureja, a visionary academic leader and researcher in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Dureja currently serves as Dean of Research & Development and Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and also directs the Aryabhatta Central Instrumentation Laboratory and the Centre for IPR Studies.With over 25 years of teaching, research, and mentoring experience, Dr. Dureja has guided more than 70 Master’s and 16 doctoral theses, and continues to supervise cutting-edge research in drug delivery systems, regulatory science, and artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical sciences.
Third distinguished speaker for this technical session wasDr. Upendra Nagaich, a visionary leader, entrepreneur, and researcher in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.Dr. Nagaich is the Founder and CEO of SPER Market Research Private Limited, Noida, and has nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of research, consulting, and healthcare innovation.An accomplished academician and researcher, Dr. Nagaich has authored over 160 publications in reputed journals, filed 13 patents, and made pioneering contributions to drug formulation and delivery technologies. His work continues to bridge the gap between laboratory research and real-world therapeutic applications, bringing hope and healing to countless lives.

Valedictory Session
The valedictory session marked the successful conclusion of the conference. The session included a brief summary of the proceedings, followed by a distribution of certificates to participants. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Pragi, Joint Secretary of the conference, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, delegates, sponsors, and the organizing committee for their contribution to the success of the event.
